IPIC Arena Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi, the capital and seat of government of the United Arab Emirates, has invested heavily in the infrastructure in recent years to step closer to the well-known Dubai. Modern museum buildings, a Formula 1 racetrack and a skyline at the Corniche now shaped the cityscape.
However, Abu Dhabi is also the seat of the international Jiu-Jitsu Federation, a martial arts style which is origin from the Japanese samurai. This unarmed self-defense is particularly popular in the Arab Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The international championship has been played out in an 8-day tournament for several years here. For this extraordinary sport, the construction of a hall in Zayed Sport City was decided in the year 2012. In addition, divisible main hall with telescope stand is implemented, and a training halls for Jiu Jitsu is also part of the project.
The hall was designed to be multifunctional in order to host other sporting events, concerts, trade fairs and conferences. The flexible grandstands accommodate 3,400 people at sporting events, up to 6,000 visitors during concerts. 300 Business Seats and 8 Sky-Boxes completed the hospitality offer of the Arena.
Vision4venue and its team members were involved in the planning as well as being a senior executive in project execution for the contractor. The overall processing from the planning stage to the implementation of the building technology ensures high quality and sustainability.
